The Final EfxINNOs Hackathon, to be hosted in Varna, Bulgaria, will serve as the culminating innovation event of the project, bringing together the winning teams, outstanding participants and key stakeholders from all Regional Hackathons organized across Greece, Georgia, Bulgaria, Türkiye and Romania. The event will provide an international collaborative environment where multidisciplinary teams will further refine and demonstrate advanced solutions developed during the regional phases, utilizing marine monitoring data, underwater imagery, AI methodologies and digital technologies generated within EfxINNOs.
The Final Hackathon will include intensive development sessions, mentoring activities, live demonstrations and evaluation panels involving experts from academia, marine research organizations, industry and public authorities. Particular emphasis will be placed on scalable and operational solutions that can support marine ecosystem protection, Marine Spatial Planning, biodiversity conservation and sustainable Blue Economy strategies in the Black Sea Basin and the North Aegean Sea. In parallel, the event will function as a high-level networking and dissemination platform, strengthening transnational cooperation, encouraging future research collaborations and promoting the long-term sustainability and exploitation potential of the EfxINNOs innovation ecosystem beyond the project’s lifetime.
