EfxINNOs Participated in the BS-SEOS Webinar under the #EMDInMyCountry Initiative

On June 24, 2026, the EfxINNOs project participated in the online webinar “Following Online Stakeholder Meetings”, organised by the National Institute for Marine Research and Development “Grigore Antipa” as part of the BS-SEOS (Black Sea Smart Marine Environmental Outcome System) project. The event was held under the #EMDInMyCountry initiative, promoting dialogue and collaboration among organisations working towards a healthier Black Sea.

The webinar provided an opportunity for stakeholders from across the region to exchange knowledge on emerging technologies and innovative approaches for marine environmental monitoring. Participants were introduced to the latest developments of the BS-SEOS project, including its integrated digital platform for real-time environmental monitoring, a shared database system, and the use of advanced technologies such as AI-supported forecasting tools, smart buoys, and autonomous surface vehicles to improve data collection and environmental assessment.

As part of a dedicated session showcasing ongoing Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme initiatives, EfxINNOs presented its objectives and joined discussions on the added value of cooperation between projects addressing common environmental priorities. The exchange highlighted how complementary expertise, innovative methodologies, and shared knowledge can contribute to more effective responses to the complex challenges facing the Black Sea.

The webinar also created a valuable space for networking and exploring future opportunities for collaboration. Bringing together projects with different areas of expertise encourages stronger links between research, innovation, and practical implementation while supporting a coordinated regional approach to marine environmental protection.

For EfxINNOs, participation in events such as the BS-SEOS webinar is an important part of building partnerships beyond individual project activities. By engaging with other initiatives and stakeholders, the project contributes to a broader community working to improve environmental monitoring, promote innovation, and support evidence-based decision-making for the sustainable management of the Black Sea.
